Our History
Built by the members, for the members
New Parks Social Club started on Thursday 26th February 1953, when Mr. Barnett Janner MP cut the ribbon to open its doors.
The first committee, voted in by the members, consisted of; General Secretary W. Hughes, Assistant Secretary A. Burgess, President E.A. Evans, and Treasurer I. Scott. Other committee members who worked tirelessly to keep our club running smoothly were; W.E. Hughes, I.H. Glover, H. Williams, R.E. Glover, N.M. McDougall, H. Whitmore, and F. Lowe.
We’re so proud of our history, and we know that there’s so much more to come for New Parks Social Club.
